Dr. Signorino believes that orthodontic care should be based on the needs and desires of each patient. This includes emotional needs as well as physical. Communication of the patient’s (and parent’s) desires to the orthodontist is as important as the diagnosis, treatment plan, risks and limitations communicated to the patient. She feels that informed patients and parents are in the best position to help plan orthodontic care.
